Originally, any mirrors having the crimped style head were not date coded. This includes all day-night mirrors. The only mirrors which were date coded were ones held in place by silicone adhesive or mirrors using snap ring. Do not use glass cleaner with vinegar on day-night mirrors as it will degrade the silvering on the back of the mirror, causing dark spotting.
